The back story of the creation of the Hysterium Haunted Asylum haunt in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The haunt started as the outgrowth of a group of friends that were doing Halloween parties that got to the point they built the Haunted Cave in 1998. The originators were Jerry McCann, Tim Stone, and Tim Link and was sold to JamBam LLC in 2013. It used the Cave theme until 2013. In 2014, it was rethemed The Hysterium Haunted Asylum as a HIGH STARTLE dark attraction that uses intense make-up and some masks, hidden or unexpected props, creative costuming and a wide range of vocal style. Â
The Hysterium Haunted Asylum focuses on setting and high visual impact to entertain and startle patrons. We use the many basic themes of phobias to create the different rooms and scenarios used throughout the show.Â
